Yoga is a path, a practice, a tool for meditation, a discipline for cultivating mental steadiness, and a catalyst for personal transformation.
Yoga is a multifaceted practice that serves as a path to self-discovery and inner peace, a journey of growth and transformation. It combines physical postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama), and mindfulness to cultivate holistic well-being while preparing the mind and body for meditation by fostering focus and calm. As a discipline, yoga builds self-awareness and mental steadiness, providing balance and clarity in daily life. Ultimately, it acts as a catalyst for profound personal change, inspiring growth, healing, and a deeper connection to oneself and the world
I am most happy when I am teaching and learning. I have been teaching Yoga since 2006. I teach yoga so people can feel good in their bodies and empowered in their life. Each year I look forward to immersing myself in a new training, I love being a student and learning. I think this is key to supporting my personal growth, supporting the growth of my students, and feeling inspired in my teaching. I do love learning about the body. It’s so amazing to me! And Yoga, it’s changed me and my outlook on life. I love using it as a vehicle to cultivate the wisdom within each of us. .
I teach an accessible class, one that allows for space to explore what best supports one’s ever changing needs. I believe it's important to focus on strength and not just flexibility. To move from our centers, not just physically but holistically. Balanced effort is key and important to one’s health and sustainability. Bringing awareness to your tendencies and daily habits are important. This greatly affects your body, whether it's the food you eat, the thoughts you have, or the way you position your bodies at work, all play a role in how you feel and show up in your life. Yoga is a catalyst for change. It requires your dedication and discipline. It’s about quality in living and provides the tools you need to thrive and live a more balanced life.
